Hi, I'm Jacob! I've called New York City home since 2018, and Marathon Day is always my favorite day of the year. I've entered the lottery every year since and have gone 0 for 7. This year I finally got in, and the timing couldn't be more perfect: I'm running with Edible Schoolyard NYC in their very first year as a charity partner, raising $5,000 for kids across the city!

Volunteering with Edible Schoolyard brought me a community I didn't know I needed — and reminded me that every kid in NYC deserves to know where their food comes from. Running 26.2 miles for them, through the city I've called home since 2018, feels like the best kind of full circle: a thank-you to New York City, and a way to make edible education accessible for all.
